About these terms

These terms are between you and DG Motel Ltd, trading as Botany Palms Motel (“we”, “us”). They apply to your use of this website and to stays booked with us. By using this site or making a booking, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Cancellation page and Privacy Policy.

Using this website

• We try to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but it is general information only. Rates and availability are confirmed when you book.
• Online bookings are made through SwiftBook, a booking engine run by STAAH. STAAH's terms also apply to bookings made through it.
• Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We aren't responsible for their content.
• Please don't copy the text or photos on this site without our permission.

Check-in and check-out

• Motel rooms: check-in is from 2 pm to 6 pm, and check-out is by 10 am. Please plan to arrive within the check-in time.
• Palms Villa: check-in is from 3 pm, and check-out is by 11 am. If you are arriving late, we can leave the villa key in a lockbox for you, by prior arrangement.
• Early check-in: available on request, subject to availability and Duty Manager approval. Additional charges apply.
• Late check-in: if you need to check in after 6 pm, arrange it with our Duty Manager in advance, at no extra charge. If your booking is fully paid in advance, we can leave your room keys and access instructions in a secure lockbox, subject to the Duty Manager's prior approval.
• Photo ID and bank card: please bring valid photo ID and a bank card (debit or credit card). You will need to show them at check-in.
• Self check-out: lock your room, drop the key in the drop box next to the office entry door, and let the Motel Manager know you are leaving.

Payment

When you book and pay through our website, payment is taken straight away to secure your booking.

Bond

We take a $200 bond at check-in, by credit card or cash. It is refunded when you check out.

Extra beds

An extra bed is available on request, for an extra charge. Please ask reception when you book. Cots are not available.

Non-smoking

Botany Palms Motel is a non-smoking property. All rooms and floors are non-smoking.

MSD bookings

We don't accept bookings arranged and paid for directly by MSD.

Cancellations

You may cancel free of charge until 2 days before arrival. If you cancel within 2 days of arrival, you will be charged the cost of the first night (only the first night, if you’ve booked more than one). To cancel or change a booking, call reception on 09 265 1986. The same policy is set out on our Cancellation page.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed.
